The problem with normal app blockers
A normal blocker locks YouTube for two hours. Then you need one tutorial video, you turn the blocker off, and you never turn it back on.
Block what is on screen
Make Yourself looks at what is actually showing:
- YouTube Shorts: blocked. Normal videos and search: allowed.
- Instagram Reels: blocked. Messages and your profile: allowed.
- Incognito tabs and adult sites: can be blocked too.
Focus mode that silences the phone
Start a focus session on a task and the phone goes quiet. A small timer floats on screen so you know it is running. When you finish, the time goes into your statistics.
It also tracks what you did instead
Blocking takes time away from the feed. The rest of the app shows where that time went: tasks done, habits kept, hours focused, workouts logged.
Requirements
Android, Google Play. Blocking is part of Pro. Pro is $1.99 for the first month, then half price while you stay; cancel in Google Play at any time.
From the founder
I'm Danylo, 17. I used to lose 5-6 hours a day to Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Deleting apps and screen time limits did not work for me; a written plan did. Then I built Make Yourself. Read my story →
