GUIDE · PHONE ADDICTION

Lessscreen.

Your phone is not the enemy. The feeds inside it are.

Why screen time limits fail

They ask you to stop in the middle of the scroll, which is the moment you are weakest. A good plan removes the scroll before it starts.

14-day plan

  • Day 1: block Shorts, Reels and other short-video feeds.
  • Day 2: phone charges outside the bedroom. Buy a cheap alarm clock.
  • Day 3: notifications only from people.
  • Day 4: grayscale screen in the evening.
  • Days 5-7: one focus session a day with the phone out of reach.
  • Days 8-14: keep it all, add one habit: training, reading or a walk.

Replace, do not just remove

Every hour you take from the feed needs a place to go. Three tasks a day, a workout, ten pages. Track them so you can see the swap.

Where Make Yourself fits

Feed blocking (Pro), focus timers, habits, training and reading logs and a daily score. Pro is $1.99 for the first month.

From the founder

I'm Danylo, 17. I used to lose 5-6 hours a day to Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Deleting apps and screen time limits did not work for me; a written plan did. Then I built Make Yourself. Read my story →
